Character & Location
Hawai’i Pacific University is an excellent university with outstanding and rigorous academic programs taught by faculty who are passionate about teaching and renowned for the personal interest they take in their students. HPU is one of the most culturally diverse universities in the world, with students from over 100 countries and all 50 US states. A comprehensive university, offering numerous unique experiences, events, and traditions to its students and community, HPU also features a service orientation emphasizing individual attention to each student.
The student to faculty ratio is 18 to 1; and professors with work experience in their fields of instruction, combined with an average class size of less than 25, enable students to get personalized attention in and outside of class.
With three campuses linked by shuttle, HPU combines the excitement of an urban downtown campus with the serenity of a residential campus set in the green foothills of Oahu’s Ko‘olau Mountains. The city of Honolulu is ranked one of the safest and cleanest cities in the country, and Hawai’i is one of the most beautiful and culturally vibrant states in the nation.
With tuition costs almost half the US average, HPU is among the most affordable private universities in the nation, and Barron’s business magazine lists HPU as one of its “Best Buys” in higher education.
