Capilano is a teaching institution, not a research institution. This means our focus is on you, or more specifically, on your learning. Graduates of our certificate, diploma, degree and post graduate degree programs are competitive in the job market because our programs emphasize real-world relevance. Graduates from Capilano's many Business, Early Childhood, Arts/Sciences, Engineering Transfer, Communications, Legal, Allied Health, Global and Community Studies, Tourism, and Fine and Applied Arts programs are the real proof of Capilano's quality. Capilano is also recognized by the BC Education Quality Assurance Program and we are the first Canadian university to be accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
