Location

NDSU is located in Fargo, the largest city in North Dakota. The metropolitan area of Fargo, sister city Moorhead, Minnesota and surrounding communities have a total population of more than 220,000. NDSU has a long, proud-tradition of offering high-quality education for a great value. NDSU is a Division I university and boasts an enrollment from over 75 countries. Housing


NDSU offers a variety of options for on-campus living. Students can choose from traditional dormitories with students sharing a room with one-two other students, suite-style housing and apartment housing. There are all female residence halls, all male residence halls and co-ed options available.

Student life

NDSU offers over 300 student organizations, individual academic advising and tutoring, career planning services and a fitness center for all students. NDSU is also proud to offer 14 Division 1 athletic teams for men and women as the NDSU Bison. Participating in these groups or teams is a great way to make new friends and get involved on campus; where you can work toward a common goal. The Department of Residence Life creates supportive, safe and healthy places for students to live and learn. On-campus housing placement is guaranteed for first-year students who completed secondary school within the past six months prior to enrollment. The university's Office of International Student and Study Abroad Services is devoted to helping students have a successful university experience. Among the services the office provides include: arrival assistance and orientation; advice on immigration, employment and cultural issues; affiliation with the International Student Association, a group that welcomes new students to campus, provides advice and support, organizes social activities for International students and plans community outreach events.
