Location
Ohio Dominican University is a private, liberal arts university founded in 1911 in the Catholic and Dominican tradition. ODU's beautiful tree-lined campus is located less than eight kilometers from downtown Columbus, Ohio - the 15th largest city in the United States. ODU is ranked in the Top Tier of Regional Colleges and Universities in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report. Approximately 1700 students study in more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs at ODU, and its 14-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio ensures students receive individual attention from their professor. Housing
All full-time (12 credit hours or more during the regular school term) students are required to live on campus if at the beginning of the academic year they have completed fewer than 56 credit hours and / or are not living with a parent / guardian within 80 kilometers or are a freshman or sophomore receiving an athletic scholarship, regardless of home address. Honors students can choose Siena Hall, which is specifically designed to support the intellectual development of this community of academically-oriented students. Upperclassmen can choose to reside in Sansbury Hall, Aquinas Hall or the newest upperclassmen residence hall, Lynam Hall. Fitzpatrick has traditional two or three person rooms while Aquinas, Siena and Lynam are suite style rooms.
