As a comprehensive, private University, Oklahoma City University offers students a diverse range of Liberal Arts, Science and Professional degree programs to prepare them for success in any field. OCU is ranked as one of the top 25 Master's Universities in the Western region of the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report. OCU is also listed as one of "America's 100 Best College Buys" by Money magazine. All OCU classes are taught by professors, not graduate assistants. In addition, the University maintains an 11:1 student/teacher ratio: class size averages 17 students in all freshmen classes and 13 students for all other classes. More than 2,300 Undergraduate students and 1,700 Graduate students who study at OCU develop leadership and teamwork skills through OCU's 60 plus student organizations such as student government, academic clubs and community service organizations. Housing


All unmarried students under the age of 21 are required to live in on-campus residences. International graduate students are not required to live on campus but are encouraged to do so. Five, single-sex residences halls are available, two for women and three for men. Laundry facilities, TV rooms, recreational rooms and study rooms are available in all or most halls. The recently opened Cokesbury Court Apartments offer the convenience of on-campus living with the luxury of an off-campus lifestyle. Students can choose from four available meal plans in addition to a Commuter Plan option and a Cokesbury Plan option.
