Founded in 1883, Stetson University is Florida's oldest private university. With nearly 4,000 enrolled students, the main campus is located in DeLand, Florida, 25 miles from Daytona Beach, and 35 miles from Orlando. DeLand is a small picturesque town with about 30,000 inhabitants. Stetson University's satellite campuses are all located in Central Florida: St. Petersburg, Tampa and Orlando. Stetson is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges to award bachelor's, master's and Educational Specialist degrees in the College of Arts & Sciences.
