Founded in 1974, the University of Houston - Clear Lake (UHCL) has become a premier university for undergraduate and graduate students alike. Nestled on a beautiful 524-acre wildlife and nature preserve, the university is located in southeast Texas, approximately halfway between downtown Houston and Galveston Island. The wooded campus sits adjacent to NASA Johnson Space Center in the heart of a leading high-tech community that offers an array of corporate, recreational and cultural amenities. UHCL enrolls over 9,000 students, 4% of them are citizens of other nations. Students choose UHCL for its highly respected curricula that lead to numerous degrees. The Schools of Business, Education, Human Sciences and Humanities, and Science and Computer Engineering offer more than 90 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. UHCL is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award Bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. Housing


Costs are the same for graduate and undergraduate students. The apartments are open year round, and several options are available: efficiency, 2 bedroom and 4 bedroom. Apartments have full service kitchens complete with stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and built-in dining / study area. Water, gas and Internet are included.
