ELS in San Diego: English Programs in a City of Excitement!

The ELS San Diego center is located on the Pacific Coast of Southern California, near downtown San Diego’s entertainment and shopping district, and within close proximity to Los Angeles. San Diego is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deepwater harbor and miles of beautiful beaches.

One of the most popular beaches in the city is Mission Beach. This 3.2-kilometer stretch of sugary white sand and its nearby boardwalk is perfect for sunbathers, inline skaters and bicyclists.

The Gaslamp Quarter’s 16 blocks in the downtown area are peppered with Victorian-style buildings that house a variety of shops, theaters, art galleries, eclectic restaurants and nightlife.

The San Diego Zoo and Safari Park is one of the most famous zoos in the country. The zoo is known for its expansive natural habitats.

If theme parks are more your style, you can spend a weekend exploring Universal Studios Hollywood® or Disneyland®.
