Watch and Discover: ELS/Melbourne at Florida Institute of Technology

In “Discover: ELS/Melbourne” students and staff speak about the welcoming and helpful Center at Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech).

Melbourne is approximately an hour’s drive to Orlando’s famous theme parks, home to the most concentrated high-tech economy in Florida and the fourth-largest high-tech workforce in the U.S.

“ELS helped me a lot because after I left ELS I decided to go to university. I can speak and I can learn something in English. I can understand everything,” said ELS/Melbourne student Anna, originally from Russia.

While at the Center, students are in close proximity to historic downtown Melbourne, complete with quaint boutiques, botanical gardens, and a variety of dining options.

International students – from more than 100 countries – comprise nearly 30% of Florida Tech’s undergraduate student body and 49% of its graduate student body. The campus spans 130 acres is minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.
