"Frank Phillips College is a community college located in Borger, TX in the Texas Panhandle. This public, two-year institution was established in 1946 to provide educational opportunities to residents of Hutchinson County. Students from many locations within the U.S. as well as around the world find that FPC is the right place for them to begin their college education. Current enrollment includes over 1500 students. Frank Phillips College is accredited by the commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees. Frank Phillips College's instructional programs include the following degrees: Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, and Associate of Arts in Teaching. Certificates are offered in the areas of agriculture, cosmetology, industrial and electrical technology, vocational nursing, and welding. International students may choose to study as either F1 or M1, depending on their educational goals. The Borger Community Activity Center (BCAC) is located on the FPC campus. This facility includes a Junior Olympic size swimming pool, air-conditioned gym, racket ball courts, free weight room, and a concession stand. The BCAC also offers classes including Pilates, aerobics, line dancing, and Cross Fit. FPC's athletic teams include men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball and softball, rodeo, and livestock judging. Borger has a movie theater, a skating rink, community theater and concerts, and a golf course.
FPC offers one men's dorm (Stephens Hall), one women's dorm (Goins Hall), and one co-ed dorm (Tyler Street).
FPC has three dorms for on-campus housing. A variety of activities, organizations, and programs foster the social, cultural, physical, and intellectual growth of students. Students are encouraged to join one or more of the following student organizations: art club, cheerleading, collegiate FFA, cosmetology club, global issues club, Julia Ann Kasch Honros Academy, livestock judging team, Phi Theta Kappa fraternity, Plainsmen Post, pre-medical club, student senate, or student vocational nursing club.
