Johnson & Wales (JWU), a university known for its practical, hands-on education opened its campus in beautiful uptown Charlotte, North Carolina in 2004. Charlotte is one of the most important cities in the southeast United States boasting a diverse business community. Uptown Charlotte also offers a vibrant hotel, restaurant and entertainment scene including various theater and music venues, NBA and NFL franchises and a new AAA baseball stadium located under city lights in uptown Charlotte! JWU's Charlotte, NC campus is located in an urban setting, but still offers traditional residence hall living.
