Location
Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is an independent, non-profit university with about 2800 students that was founded in 1903. MSOE is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is about 90 miles north of Chicago. Students come from all over the U.S. and the world, representing 26 different countries. MSOE offers bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering, business, mathematics and nursing. The university has a national academic reputation; longstanding ties to business and industry; dedicated professors with real-world experience; a 96% placement rate; and the highest average starting and mid-career salaries of any Wisconsin university according to PayScale Inc. MSOE graduates are well-rounded, technologically experienced and highly productive professionals and leaders. In 2015, U.S. News & World Report ranked MSOE's undergraduate engineering programs as 14th best. MSOE is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. MSOE is located in downtown Milwaukee. The campus is nestled in a historic neighborhood, offering a very safe environment and plenty of activities.
