Location

Located in the third largest city in Washington state, Tacoma Community College (TCC) is a 2-year public college in the Pacific Northwest United States located just 40 minutes south of Seattle. TCC serves over 400 international stduents from 40 different countires. TCC's campus is situated near the Puget Sound givings students access to waterfront parks, beaches and restaurants. There are a variety of vibrant palces to eat, cafes, theatres, museums and shops for students to explore by foot or by bus. The Tacoma City Bus has a transit center on TCC's campus, making public transportation easily accessible. Beyond the many activities and places to visit, the friendly people and comfortable climate make Tacoma a safe and welcoming place to live and study. Housing


Off Campus housing option includes a Homestay or assistance in securing an apartment. Homestay is an exciting way to learn about American culture and continuously practice one's English language. Carefully screened American hosts provide:
Option A) Furnished, private room, utilities, three meals per day. Food for all meals is provided by the host (US$ 675per month)
Option B) Furnished, private room, utilities, breakfast. The host provides food for breakfast; for all other meals, students buy and prepare their own food (US$ 525 per month) .

Student life

Tacoma Community College offers comprehensive services to international students, including free tutoring in both ESL and academic subjects, transfer advising, counseling services for academic, vocational and personal matters, a wide variety of athletic programs, campus activities and opportunities for student involvement.
