Location

University of Wisconsin (UW) Superior is a distinct campus within the University of Wisconsin System, one of the largest and strongest public university systems in the US. Founded in 1893, UW-Superior is located in the city of Superior, Wisconsin and has an overall enrollment of 2,600 students. UW-Superior is nationally recognized for its quality teaching, vibrant community, engaged students and successful outcomes. UW-Superior offers more than 50 Undergraduate (Bachelor degree) programs and concentrations, including business programs (Business Administration, Accounting, Management, International Business, Finance), Transportation and Logistics Management, Communications, Visual Arts, Biology, Chemistry and Computer Science. With an average class size of 18, students get a level of personal interaction with faculty often unavailable at larger universities. UW-Superior undergraduate students also contribute significantly to our various on-campus research centers that administer large scale research grants. UW-Superior is located on the shore of Lake Superior, the largest lake in the world. Just across the bridge from Duluth, Minnesota, the University is in a dynamic metro area of 200,000 people and three universities. The metro area is a regional tourist destination offering amenities, recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. The nearest major city is Minneapolis/St. Paul, which is 2.5 hours away by car. UW Superior provides Residence Halls. The mission of the Residence Life program, is to provide a safe, structurally sound, and accepting living learning environment through educational programming and personal contact.

Student life

University of Wisconsin (UW) Superior's many student organizations develop and sponsor social, educational, recreational and cultural programs for the campus community and aid in the development of student leaders. The World Student Association is the largest and most active student group. There is a strong tradition of International students excelling in terms of academics, scholarships, award competitions, leadership positions, involvement in clubs, athletics and success on the job market.
