Location
Wagner College is a four-year liberal arts institution located on Grymes Hill in Staten Island, New York. Founded in 1883, Wagner has historical ties to the Lutheran Church. The College provides nationally acclaimed academic programs featuring required internships and fieldwork beginning in first semester and culminating in senior year. "U.S. News & World Report" ranked Wagner # 4 nationally in the "Best Learning Community Programs" category. Wagner College is within a 30-minute drive or ferry ride of Manhattan and the three major New York airports. The beautiful campus occupies 44 hectares on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Manhattan and New York Harbor. Students come from 35 states and 15 countries with international students comprising about 10% of the student population.
Housing
Wagner College has three dormitories on campus and housing is guaranteed to all students. Meal service is provided for all residential students. Students under 21 must live on campus unless they are living locally with family. Off camppus apartments are available graduate students.
Student life
- More than 60 student clubs and organizations are available, including academic and honors programs, service groups and fraternities and sororities.
- The International Student Organization and the International Student Advisor are available to all international students.
- Other groups include the student newspaper, yearbook and literary magazine.
- Intercollegiate and intramural sports programs are available for men and women.
