ELS Student Story: Cedric at ELS/Ruston

Cedric, an ELS student from Côte d'Ivoire, has recently graduated from ELS/Ruston and will start university study at Louisiana Tech University in September!

Cedric said, “The U.S. has one of the best universities that teaches Architecture. With ELS I can study English and Ruston has many opportunities because here after ELS, I can pay in-state tuition at Louisiana Tech."

Cedric began ELS at level 108 and quickly excelled through the program in five months.

About his experience at ELS/Ruston, Cedric said, “When we ask questions [the teachers] are eager to respond and to help us. My friends are from many backgrounds, so we have a chance to get used to different accents. We also have activities, and games every session.”

Now that Cedric has graduated from ELS, he is looking to study Architecture and will start his university study in September at Louisiana Tech University.

Louisiana Tech University is in the heart of Ruston, Louisiana and has over 11,000 students. The university will offer special in-state tuition for students who complete ELS 112, have a 2.5 GPA on their high school transcripts and attend a bachelor’s degree program at Louisiana Tech University.
