Texas Tech University is a public research university with an enrollment of 35,134 students located in Lubbock, Texas. Graduate Students may request assignment to any of the 17 residence halls on campus. The Housing and Dining Services office is located in Room 106 of Doak Hall; they may be contacted by phone: (806)742-2661. The Student Government Association publishes an off-campus housing guide for students. They may be reached at (806)742-3631 and are located on the third floor of the Student Union Building.

Student life

Texas Tech is a global marketplace of ideas and our 2,804 international students from 107 countries play an important role in this community. Students will find 25 active international student associations among the 400 student associations, which provide a way to make friends and pursue interests - old and new. There are 16 living options on campus: residence halls, suites and apartment complexes. Specialized learning communities and freshman interest groups in the residences get students off to a good start - socially and academically and the Student Recreation Center offers state-of- the-art facilities and dozens of sporting clubs. Lubbock, the home of the university, is a thriving community ranked 11th among the best cities for college students in small, metropolitan areas.
