In 1997, Bradley University celebrated its 100th anniversary as an independent, privately endowed coeducational institution. Peoria, IL is home to Bradley University as well as companies such as Caterpillar and over 350,000 residents in the metro area. Peoria is the largest city in downstate Illinois. Bradley's 26-hectacre campus hosts 43 buildings. The University combines the academic opportunities of a large school with the personality of a small school. Of the 3,623 colleges and universities in the United States, there are only 36 like Bradley: private, medium-sized and independent.
The University owns and operates 10 residence halls with a total of 2,200 beds. The residence halls provide a variety of lifestyle options, including smoke-free wellness floors and flexible meal plans that can be used in five different dining halls on campus. Residence halls are also equipped with state-of-the-art computers, printers and networking capabilities.
More then 200 campus organizations and services are available to attending students and alumni, including the International Affairs Organization, Multi-Cultural Student Advisory Board and International Student Organizations.
Campus services include the Health Center, Haussler Hall, Smith Career Center and Cullom-Davis Library. Bradley also boasts a new state-of-the-art global communications center.
Extracurricular activities include recreational activities, intramural games, parties, dances, movies and fundraising activities for local charities.
