University Place is located half a mile from the main campus. Campus shuttles run every 10 to 20 minutes on the weekdays, so getting to main campus is no issue. Housing nearly 2,000 students in apartment-style buildings, it offers an Activity House that's equipped with an exercise and fitness center, an outdoor pool, social rooms with wide screen TVs, basketball and volleyball courts, outdoor grills and picnic tables. Each apartment is furnished with a washer/dryer, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove, disposal, upholstered sofa and chair, kitchen table and chairs. Located at the Blue Ridge/Piedmont activity house is the UP Cafe where meal plans and CINO cash are accepted.
