Location

Lake Tahoe Community College's campus, first built in 1988, is set amid 66 hectares of forest in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Nearly two kilometers above sea level, the town has a permanent population of about 30,000. The area offers the Tahoe Mountains, the lake, year-round activities and proximity to San Francisco and a quick flight to Las Vegas - giving students a rich college experience.

宿泊施設

There is no student housing on campus, but many rental options are available in the community.

LTCC is now providing off campus residential housing for full time students. Public transportation is within easy reach of that property, and with LTCC’s free bus pass policy students can get to and from campus and all around town for free.

It is suggested that students start their search for housing several months before their expected move-in date.

Student life

LTCC students enjoy a rich and vibrant campus life with several opportunities for growth and enrichment: LTCC offers a wide range of clubs catering to many different interests. From the dedicated Honor Society, to the fun and energetic Badminton club, and the International club promoting diversity, there's something for everyone to experience and enjoy. Cultivating student culture and international students is at the forefront of LTCC. A diverse group of 3,000 students are served each quarter, and since 2013, LTCC has hosted over 250 international students from 25 countries. LTCC is a comprehensive college accredited by the ACCJC of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, a regional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Education.
LTCC is a gateway to the U.S. higher education system for international students. We transfer students to prestigious California UC and CSU schools as well as out of state institutions. International students will save thousands of dollars on their tuition by taking their first two years at LTCC before transferring. We have exceptional record of successfully transferring our graduates.
We offer one of the most affordable tuitions for international students among all California colleges. During the 2019/2020 academic year, the cost per unit is $208, making the quarterly tuition from $2496 to $3120.
LTCC has one of the lowest English proficiency equirements in the state of California. International applicants only need to pass the TOEFL exam with 55 points, or the IELTS
