ELS/Orlando is located at the Stetson University Center in the town of Celebration, Florida, a suburb of Orlando, close to the area’s theme parks, Kennedy Space Center, and both Atlantic and Gulf Coast beaches.

Three big theme parks in the area – Walt Disney World Resort®, SeaWorld Orlando® and Universal Orlando Resort®. Kennedy Space Center: Just over an hour’s drive from the Orlando theme park area, the KSC Visitor Complex is a fabulous mix of history, science and amazement.

Forever Florida: This 1,900-hectare wildlife conservation area has nine diverse subtropical ecosystems that are home to alligators, black bears, white-tailed deer and hundreds of species of birds, as well as the first zip-line roller coaster in the United States.

A model of academic excellence, Stetson was ranked #5 in 2014 for “Best Regional Universities — South,” according to U.S. News & World Report. Stetson is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges to award bachelor’s, master’s and Educational Specialist degrees in the College of Arts & Sciences. In addition, Stetson offers both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the School of Business as well as bachelor’s degrees in the School of Music.

It also boasts a small average class size of 20 and a 12 to 1 student to faculty ratio. Merit-based scholarships of $11,000 to $33,000 are awarded to international students (ELS graduates) for undergraduate study.

DeLand reflects the architectural and cultural heritage of Florida’s past. Beautiful historic landmarks can be found on the Stetson campus and in the surrounding downtown area. Restaurants and small shops reinforce the feel of a traditional small American town.

Stetson is conveniently located in downtown DeLand, so students have easy access to all that the city has to offer. The DeLand campus has 262 full-time faculty members, 94% of whom hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Orlando, where the Stetson University Center at Celebration and ELS are located, is only about one hour from DeLand.
