A Path to Business Success with ELS/Chicago and Dominican University

ELS/Chicago at beautiful Dominican University is excited to offer a Business English Program combined with the opportunity for participating students to visit and observe a course at the Brennan School of Business at Dominican University.

Students who are in Level 107 or higher are eligible to take part in this program. This program combines Semi-intensive English study with a Business English afternoon program, which has been designed to meet the English language needs of international business executives and students who plan on pursuing business education. Students enrolled in this program can participate in up to three modules of Business English.

The program provides students the opportunities to develop and practice skills needed to succeed in international business opportunities such as giving sales and marketing presentations, participating in business meetings, and conducting business negotiations. Students also have the chance to take advantage of the many opportunities to observe the thriving business culture of one of America’s most important financial centers – Chicago. Students will participate in excursions to important business sites such as the Federal Reserve and Merchandise Mart as well as attend lectures and company visits. Students recently visited a sports-marketing firm and toured the premier advertising agency Leo Burnett at its flagship headquarters in downtown Chicago.

In addition, students who are participating in this program will have the chance to visit a business class at the Brennan School of Business at Dominican University. The Brennan school received the highest quality accreditation, AACSB, last year. This is a distinction held by only 5% of business programs.

This new Business English program will provide business professionals and those who want to pursue a career in Business with the confidence and skills to succeed in an international business culture as well as experience a world-class business education in one of America’s most beautiful and important cities.
