The Academy of Food Marketing Co-op Program allows students to gain an edge in the competitive job market where an undergraduate degree may not be enough to land them their dream jobs. Employers are looking for exceptional candidates who, besides a great education, have on-the-job experience—candidates who hit the ground running without requiring follow-up training.

The Academy of Food Marketing Co-op program provides access to the trillion-dollar-a-year food industry within the United States.

Students who participate in the five-year co-op program at Saint Joseph’s University can expect to add real-world experience to their resumes; develop teamwork, communication and presentation skills; and gain a competitive advantage with advanced resume and interviewing skills. Students will also develop a personal network of valuable industry contacts, build maturity and confidence, and learn to live and act independently while still participating in university activities and campus live. This co-op program also allows students the opportunity to earn up to $45,000 during three work experiences.

The Food Marketing Cooperative Education program requires a 2.8 cumulative grade point average. Students apply during their freshman year acceptance and embark on their first co-op term during the spring of their sophomore year.
