ELS/Boston – Downtown is located on Tremont Street at the intersection of Beacon Hill and Downtown Crossing. The Boston Common, Government Center, Theater District and Chinatown are all within walking distance from the Center, and is rich with universities, restaurants, and museums. Students interested in United States history have many opportunities to increase their knowledge in Boston.

The Freedom Trail, at nearly 5-kilometers, connects 16 of the city’s most historic sites, including the Bunker Hill Monument, the site of the Boston Massacre and the Paul Revere House.

Built in 1742, Faneuil Hall has had a long and important history in Massachusetts politics. Next door is the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and close by is the Haymarket, an open-air market open on Fridays and Saturdays.

An important piece of American sports history is Baseball. In Boston, you can visit one of the oldest baseball stadiums in the USA, Fenway Park. Opened in 1912, Fenway Park is home to the Boston Redsox.
