Coming Soon! ELS/Santa Rosa will open July 24, 2017

April 3, 2017

We are pleased to announce that a new Center will be opening on the campus of Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) in Santa Rosa, California, on July 24, 2017!

Santa Rosa Junior College

In 1918, Santa Rosa Junior College was established to prepare students for transfer to UC Berkeley and Stanford University. Its proud tradition of preparing students for academic success continues today – the college has grown to offer more than 100 majors (including Business, Engineering, STEM, Computer Science, and Culinary Arts), affordable tuition rates, state-of-the-art facilities, and a student:faculty ratio of 19:1.

SRJC has guaranteed admission agreements into six of the world-famous University of California campuses, and recent transfer statistics indicate that, among all large California community colleges, SRJC has the highest acceptance rate into the University of California system! Students can receive transfer credit for all classes when transferring to the University of California or California State University.

Student Life

The vibrant and active SRJC campus is home to students from over 50 countries. Students have access to intramural sports teams, campus clubs and organizations, affordable dining options within easy walking distance, and modern athletic facilities including a stadium track and sports fields which are available year-round to ELS students. ELS Center staff can help interested students sign up for an inexpensive physical education course that grants enrolled students access to SRJC’s Olympic-sized swimming pool and well-equipped fitness center. Uniquely, 19 kilometers from the SRJC campus is Shone Farm. Shone Farm includes 120 acres of forest, 100 acres of pasture and 70 acres of vineyard and is a 365-acre outdoor learning laboratory for SJRC’s Agriculture and Natural Resources Department.

The campus is located in the heart of Santa Rosa, a safe and scenic city just 88.5km north of San Francisco, California. The city’s 174,000 residents enjoy the area’s sunny and comfortable climate, world-famous wine country, abundant farmlands and redwood forests, and convenient access to the Pacific Ocean.

Students can utilize Santa Rosa’s extensive bus system to explore this safe and beautiful city and the county of Sonoma. Monthly bus passes are only $50, and students enrolled in a course at SRJC ride for free! In addition, students will be able to take the SMART light rail system to the San Rafael public transit center, which offers bus and ferry service to nearby San Francisco and Berkeley.
