Governors State University (GSU) is located in University Park, Illinois, about 37 miles south of Chicago's Downtown Loop area.   • Prairie Place, the first on-campus residence at Governors State University, opened Fall 2014. This is where students can take full advantage of everything the diverse and lively community has to offer.
