Location

With roots dating back to 1865, Rider is a private, coeducational university located on 280 beautiful acres on two campuses in New Jersey - one in Lawrenceville and one in Princeton, both within easy driving distance to New York City and Philadelphia. Rider University is a comprehensive private university that offers programs in business, education, liberal arts and sciences, and music and the fine and performing arts. Its academic experience emphasizes connected learning, leadership skills, a global perspective, social responsibility and a student-centered focus in all areas of study. Rider boasts a student-to-teacher ratio of just 12 to 1, and 97 percent of its faculty members hold the Ph.D. or terminal degree in their field. Rider is also on the approved list of the American Association of University Women and the American Chemical Society. Our campuses offer students the opportunity to study in two quiet, secure and small communities while offering easy access to major cities along the East Coast of the United States. Given our location, our summers are warm (35 degree Celsius) and our winters are cold (0 degree Celsius) - but Rider's proximity to New York and Philadelphia - two centers of commerce, communications, culture and education - offers undergraduate and graduate students alike the rich hands-on experiences needed to prepare for a professional career.

Housing

Rider has over 20 residence halls on campus; degree-seeking students can choose from many different housing options, from double rooms to apartments. All residence halls are equipped with voice, video and data service; there is also a kitchenette and free laundry facilities in every residence hall. International undergraduate students are required to live on campus for two years; graduate students for one year.
