St. Philip's College, founded in I898, is a comprehensive, public community college whose mission is to provide a quality educational environment, which stimulates leadership, personal growth and a lifelong appreciation for learning. The main campus sits on 50.82 acres and is 765,244 square feet. Located in San Antonio, Texas, the seventh-largest city in the US, St. Philip's is a Historically Black College and Hispanic Serving Institution with a semester enrollment of more than 10,000. The College fulfills its mission by providing general education courses in arts and sciences; transfer education for students desiring to attend a senior institution; developmental courses that improve the basic skills of students whose academic foundations need strengthening; applied science and technical programs designed to prepare students for employment or for the updating of skills. St. Philip's College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award degrees in Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, and Certificates of Completion. St. Philip's College is also approved and accredited by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, National Accrediting Groups for Allied Health and Nursing Programs, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
