Location
Shoreline Community College is located in Seattle, Washington in a region known as the Pacific Northwest. The Northwest has some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the United States. It is also home to major industries, including: software (Microsoft, Adobe), biotechnology (Amgen, Zymogenetics), aerospace (Boeing), coffee (Starbucks, Tully's) and medicine/research (University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center). The campus sits on 34 hectors in a beautiful, park like setting with a total of 26 buildings. Students have easy access to local shopping malls, supermarkets and a variety of restaurants nearby. Shoreline Community College is a 20 minute drive from downtown Seattle by bus. We offer a beautiful and safe campus, with 90 majors; outstanding student services; comprehensive ESL classes; High School Completion; and a high-quality yet affordable two-year degree program to transfer easily to a four-year universities. SCC have assisted student get into top universities like University of Washington, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC and University of Michigan. Shoreline hosts 1,000 international students from 45 countries. Although a diverse group, it is small enough to allow us to maintain a caring environment, providing individual attention to each of the students. Shoreline's central location makes it easy for students to be active in the winter and summer months. Throughout the year students can attend cultural and art events in the area. In the winter months students can travel a short distance to go skiing or snowboarding. On campus housing is available beginning in Fall 2019. Fully furnished four-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio units with full kitchens available. Flexible leasing options also available. Minimum age requirement to live on campus is 17 years old. More information: https://www.shoreline.edu/housing/ The homestay is another popular choice for new students and the best option for students under 17 years old. Shoreline Community College works with agencies that place students in American homes. Students live with an American families who provide guidance and support while studying in the U.S. Some students prefer to live on their own or with other students in a local apartment or shared house. Student life
Shoreline Community College (SCC) has an active student government and leadership center, offering over 50 different clubs and multiple student activities throughout the year. They have competitive sporting teams and events for both men and women. SCC also have a student newspaper, a theater and art galleries on campus for students to perform and showcase their work. Through their service learning and internship programs, students can be actively engaged in our local community.
