Student life
At California College of the Arts, education takes place both in and outside the classroom. CCA offers services to international students through the International Student Affairs Office (ISAP). Special events for all students include art fairs, social events, exhibition receptions, topical forums, workshops, artist residencies, and career services. Many programs are designed to engage the public and the academic community in a dialogue about the nature of arts and culture. Readings, lectures, issue-based symposia, and panel discussions on the arts, architecture, design, writing and humanities are offered throughout the year. San Francisco was ranked No. 17 among "Best Student Cities" according to QS World University Rankings Report. It remains one of the US's most iconic and frequently visited cities. With its famously laidback coastal lifestyle and sunny climate, San Francisco is also among the top-ranked cities in the world for quality of living.
