The University Guide Online is a searchable platform that helps international students and education agents explore post-secondary partner institutions of ILSC Language Schools, Greystone College, and ELS English Centers. You can browse universities and colleges by country, discover available programs, and understand your pathway options for admission.

This platform is designed for both international students and education agents. Students can explore study options and pathways to university, while agents can quickly compare partner institutions and programs to better support student counselling.

You can explore partner institutions in Canada, Australia, and the USA, as well as selected partners in Europe and Malaysia. Each region offers different study options, pathways, and admission services.

There are multiple pathways to enter a college, TAFE, or university through our partner network:

  • English Pathway (ILSC Language Schools / ELS English Centers): Study English and progress to a partner institution without IELTS or TOEFL

  • Academic Pathway (Greystone College): Study a diploma or certificate program and transfer credits toward a degree at select partner institutions

These flexible options allow students to choose the pathway that best fits their academic background, English level, and goals. 

Yes. Many of our partner institutions offer conditional admission, meaning you can receive an offer from a university before meeting the English requirement. You can then complete your English studies at ILSC Language Schools or ELS English Centers to qualify for entry.

  • Conditional admission: You receive an offer and must complete a required English level before starting your program.  

  • Direct admission: You already meet the academic and English requirements and can enter your program without further conditions.

The platform features a range of programs including diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and pathway options such as:

  • University Admissions Services (ELS English Centers)

  • 2+2 program and college year program (USA)

University Guide Online USA FAQs

You can explore a range of partner institutions across the USA, including universities and community colleges. Programs include bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as pathway options such as 2+2 programs and the College Year program, offered through select partners of ELS Educational Services.

ELS Language Centers’ University Admissions Service helps international students apply to partner universities in the USA. Students can receive conditional or direct admission, depending on their English level, and benefit from support throughout the application process. ELS Language Centers offers a University Admissions Service to a select number of post-secondary partner institutions.

Yes. More than 600 universities across the USA accept ELS level 109 or 112 as proof of English for entry. By completing the required ELS English level, you can meet the English requirement without taking IELTS or TOEFL.

 

Conditional admission means you are accepted into a university before meeting the English requirement. You will study English at ELS Language Centers until you reach the required level, and then progress into your academic program.

Direct admission is available if you already meet academic requirements and complete a short ELS program (typically a minimum of 4 weeks). This allows you to enter your university program without additional English conditions.

A 2+2 program allows students to:

  • Study the first 2 years of a degree at a community college

  • Transfer to a university to complete the final 2 years

This pathway can be a more flexible and cost-effective route to earning a bachelor’s degree in the USA. 

The College Year program combines English study with first-year university-level courses. Students improve their English while studying academic subjects and gaining experience in a university-style learning environment.

The courses completed in this program may not automatically transfer into a full degree program, but they can provide valuable preparation for future studies in the USA or in a student’s home country. 

The duration depends on your current English level. Some students may only need a few sessions, while others may require more time to reach the level required for university admission.

Many US institutions have intakes in Fall (August/September), Spring (January), and sometimes Summer. ELS English programs have frequent start dates, allowing you to begin your pathway at multiple points throughout the year. 

Yes. Education agents can use the platform to explore partner institutions and programs, and work with ELS to support student applications, admissions, and placement into appropriate pathway options.

You can apply for conditional admission before starting your English studies. However, if you are still deciding, ELS counsellors can help you explore options and select a suitable institution.

The USA offers a wide range of universities, flexible study pathways, and diverse program options. With ELS pathway programs, students can access multiple routes into higher education, including transfer pathways and combined academic-English programs.

University Guide Online Australia FAQs

You can explore a range of partner institutions in Australia including colleges, TAFEs, and universities offering diploma, bachelor’s, and postgraduate programs. Many institutions are connected to ILSC Language Schools’ University Pathway program, allowing students to transition from English studies into academic programs. 

Some partners also offer pathways through Greystone College programs, where graduates of select programs may receive credit transfer or advanced standing toward a degree. In addition, students can progress to Greystone Institute, with entry pathways from both ILSC Language Schools and Greystone College. 

The University Pathway program at ILSC Language Schools Australia allows students to enter a partner university without IELTS or TOEFL. Students study English at ILSC Language Schools campus in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney and, after reaching the required level, can progress directly into their chosen academic program. Students can also choose to take University Pathway Online at our ILSC Hello online school.

Yes. Many partner institutions accept students through the ILSC University Pathway program. By completing the required English level at ILSC Language Schools, you can meet the English requirement instead of taking IELTS or TOEFL.

 

ILSC Language Schools has different agreements with each partner school, so the level requirement may vary depending on the school or specific higher education program.

With conditional admission: 

  • You apply to a partner institution 

  • You receive a conditional offer 

  • You study English at ILSC Language Schools 

  • After meeting the required level, you begin your academic program.   

This allows you to secure your place before completing your English studies. 

Greystone College in Australia offers career-focused certificate and diploma programs in areas such as business, project management, Artificial Intelligence, digital marketing and more. Some programs include credit transfer opportunities, allowing Greystone College graduates to continue in a degree program with advanced standing at select partner institutions. The option to transfer credits from Greystone College to a post-secondary program varies.

Yes. Some Greystone College programs offer credit transfer pathways to partner institutions. After completing your program, you may be able to continue your studies toward a degree, depending on the program and university.

Greystone Institute is a higher education provider in Australia. Greystone Institute is part of ILSC Education Group, which also includes ILSC Language Schools and Greystone College. It offers a degree program in Business. 

Students can enter Greystone Institute through different pathways: 

  • From ILSC Language Schools: Students can progress directly after reaching the required English level (Intermediate 4) 

  • From Greystone College: Graduates of select programs may receive advanced standing (credit transfer) toward a degree 

This provides a clear and flexible pathway from English or diploma studies into higher education within the ILSC Education Group network. 

Programs include: 

  • Bachelor’s degrees

  • Master’s programs

  • Diplomas and pathway programs

  • Career training programs at Greystone College with credit transfer options to higher education

The duration depends on your starting point. English pathway programs vary based on your language level, while Greystone College programs typically range from several months to over a year, depending on the program.

Many Australian institutions offer intakes in February, July, and sometimes November. English programs at ILSC Language Schools have flexible start dates, and Greystone College programs also offer regular intakes throughout the year. 

It depends on your goals. If you need to improve your English, a University Pathway program through ILSC Language Schools is a strong option. If you want to begin studying your subject area right away, Greystone College programs offer practical training and, in some cases, the option to transfer credits and continue towards earning a degree at another institution.

University Guide Online Canada FAQs

You can explore a range of Canadian partner institutions including colleges and universities offering diploma, bachelor’s, and postgraduate programs. Many institutions are connected to ILSC Language Schools’ University Pathway program, while others offer pathways through a Joint Pathway Program model, allowing students to transition from English studies into academic programs. Some select partners also accept credit transfer from graduates of certain Greystone College programs, offering advanced placement in a degree.

The University Pathway program allows students to enter a Canadian college or university without IELTS or TOEFL. Students study English at ILSC Language Schools and, once they reach the required level, can progress directly into their chosen academic program at a partner institution.

A Joint Pathway Program also allows students to enter a Canadian college or university without IELTS or TOEFL by starting with English study at ILSC Language Schools, followed by English study at a partner school, then direct transition into their chosen post-secondary program at the same partner school. The Joint Pathway Program model allows students to apply for just one study permit for all three components of their study journey in Canada, supporting a more seamless transition from language study to higher education. 

Yes. Many partner institutions accept students through the ILSC University Pathway program or the Joint Pathway Program, which means you can meet the English requirement by completing the required level at ILSC Language Schools, or a combination of ILSC Language Schools and the post-secondary institution instead of taking IELTS or TOEFL.

Program availability varies by institution and province. 

The length of your English studies depends on your current level. Some students may need only a few weeks, while others may require several months to reach the required pathway level. For conditional admission support, ILSC Language Schools requires a minimum of 4 weeks of study in the University Pathway program.

In Canada, the ILSC Language Schools University Pathway Program and Joint Pathway Program are available at all Canadian campuses—in Vancouver, Toronto, or Montréal. Students can also take University Pathway Online through the online school, ILSC Hello.

Many Canadian institutions offer multiple intakes throughout the year (e.g. January, May, September). English programs at ILSC Language Schools have flexible start dates, allowing you to begin almost any week. 

Yes. Education agents can use the platform to identify suitable institutions and programs, and then work with ILSC Language Schools staff to support applications, pathway placement, and admission processes.

University Guide Online Malaysia FAQs

ELS Malaysia offers the Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP), both on-campus and online. These programs focus on academic English, communication skills, and preparation for university study.

ELS Malaysia has four language centers across the country. These are: ELS Kuala Lumpur, ELS Subang Jaya, ELS Universiti Putra Malaysia, and ELS Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Yes. ELS Malaysia offers a fully online version of the Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP), allowing students to improve their English from anywhere while following the same structured curriculum as on-campus classes. 

The program has 10 levels, from beginner to advanced. Your placement depends on your English proficiency at the time of enrollment.

Not always. ELS Malaysia’s Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) is approved by Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) for university admissions. Completion of specific ELS levels meets English requirements for many Malaysian universities and overseas institutions—without IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE.

Each level typically takes 4 weeks to complete. The total duration depends on your starting level and your target proficiency.

ELS Malaysia offers frequent start dates throughout the year. This flexibility allows students to begin their studies at a time that suits their plans.

At the moment, no. Unlike some other destinations, we focus on direct admissions rather than pathway programs. This means students apply directly to partner institutions through our platform without completing a required English pathway at first.

Direct admission means you apply straight to a college or university of your choice through the University Guide Online platform and start your academic program once accepted. 

Programs vary by institution but commonly include business, hospitality, technology, arts, sciences, history, and more. You can choose from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees depending on your academic background.

You can browse institutions on the University Guide Online platform based on your preferred country, program, and entry requirements. Once you’ve chosen a partner institution from our platform, you can contact us, and our expert advisors or education agents will help you narrow down your options and support you all the way.

Most European institutions start the school year between August and September, with some offering additional intakes depending on the program. It’s best to consult with our advisors for specific dates for each school.
