## About the School

Shoreline College, formerly known as Shoreline Community College, is a public community college in Shoreline, Washington, established in 1964 and located about 10 miles north of downtown Seattle. It offers more than 100 academic, professional, and technical degree and certificate programs designed for transfer to four-year institutions and career preparation.

Students come from across the U.S. and over 50 countries, and the college emphasizes accessible, high-quality education, workforce training, and community engagement in the Pacific Northwest.

## Campus Life

Shoreline’s scenic 83-acre campus includes academic buildings, labs, arts and performance spaces, a theater, gymnasium, library, and student center that support study and collaboration. Students participate in campus events, workshops, and cultural activities that enrich daily life and build community.

Its location near Seattle provides easy access to cultural venues, parks, dining, professional events, and public transit, offering learners expanded academic and regional experiences beyond campus.

## Student Life

Student life at Shoreline College includes involvement in more than 50 clubs and organizations such as art, international, and computer science clubs, as well as Associated Student Government and the Arts and Entertainment Board.

These groups support leadership, community building, and social engagement outside the classroom. Career and academic advising services help students plan internships, transfer pathways, and professional skills development, connecting academic learning with future opportunities.

## Housing

Shoreline College offers on-campus housing with apartments that include fully furnished units, shared living rooms, kitchens, laundry, and 24/7 security, designed to support student connection and convenience near classes. Housing applications open prior to each quarter and are recommended early for best placement.

In addition, many students choose off-campus housing or homestay arrangements with local families, and the college provides guidance to help learners explore local accommodations near campus and in the broader Seattle area.
